It is reported that Mobile Phone operator O2 has won the highly fought deal to sell the brand new Apple iPhone in the UK.

Industry rumours and latest press reports say that O2 is poised to sign an exclusive contract with Apple to allow it to be selling the iPhone in time for the Christmas sales rush.O2 spokesman have currently declined to comment on the iPhone deal.

The long awaited iPhone was released in the US this weekend and sold 500,000 in the first two days. Customers were queuing for hours outside stores before the launch. Some people waited in line for days to buy the iPhone when Apple opened it doors on the day of release.
